How Does Google Guarantee Benefit Your Business?

What Is The Google Guarantee?

The Google Guarantee is a green and white badge that’s available for businesses to display on their Local Services Ads

It has been created to promote trust between the consumer and the businesses who have qualified, as they’ve been through the verification process by Google.

The green badge provides an extra level of trust, and encourages users to book through the ad where they found your business.

How Does It Work?

If your business has the Google Guaranteed badge, this means that Google trusts your business. It only works for certain industries, so you’ll have to apply to find out if you qualify, but it’s an excellent addition for local businesses.

From the customer perspective, the Google Guarantee will reimburse their invoice, up to £1500 in the UK, if they’re unhappy with the service your business has provided. It’s likely that Google will ask for further information from you and the customer in these circumstances.

How Can I Get The Google Guarantee Badge?

First, you must be using Local Services Ads on Google, and you can apply through there.

Google will conduct a thorough check of your business and carry out a background check on you, as the owner. Also, a background check could be done on your employees and others, depending on your business.

Once Google is happy with their checks, you’ll be awarded the green badge of honour for your Local Services Ads. Making you stand out amongst your competitors, or level the playing field if they’re already Google Guaranteed.

How Much Does The Google Guarantee Cost?

There is no cost for The Google Guarantee directly when you’re using Google’s Local Services Ads.  Which does cost money to run.

With Local Services Ads, you pay for every lead you get through the ad, eg. each person who contacts you through your ad. The cost for each lead varies for different industries, search terms and locations.

If you’re not using Local Services Ads, previously you couldn’t become Google guaranteed. However, Google now has the option to pay a monthly fee for small businesses, which helps to set them apart on the organic search side of Google.

How Does This Benefit My Business?

Being Google Guaranteed benefits businesses through maximising the number of leads generated and boosting your position in the search results.

Especially for businesses who use Local Services Ads, because you’ll be right at the top of Google’s results page. It’ll be an irresistible click for the user, your business with a green tick.
